The Inn at Stonecliffe

Best hotel on the island. Effortlessly classy and timeless unlike the Grand Hotel. Beautiful yard with orchard, chickens, and a lovely overlook at sunset rock. If you are looking for a place to stay on the island I would highly recommend Stonecliffe over any hotel. They don’t charge $12 just to get in and the staff are much more accommodating and friendly than Grand Hotel. I cannot emphasize this enough stay at Stonecliffe and not Grand Hotel!!!

This was our first time staying at The Inn at Stonecliffe, but will be far from our last. It was truly the most incredible hotel/resort experience we have ever had. The grounds were stunning, with plenty of activities, space to enjoy quiet time, watch the most incredible sunsets and have just an absolutely peaceful stay. The staff are second-to-none. They were knowledgeable, warm, and a delight to interact with. The dining options made it hard to want to go downtown because of the quality we enjoyed. Every meal was an experience and enhanced the stay every time we dined. We started planning our next trip to Stonecliffe before the first one was even over. It will absolutely be our go-to lodging option on the island for years to come.

My wife and I were visiting Mackinac Island for the first time. Another traveler mentioned The Inn at Stonecliffe for dinner and sunset in the "backyard". So we hopped on a horse drawn carriage and had one of the most special evenings ever. The staff all made our experience perfect. We were given the best table on the patio. The cocktails were delicious. The pizza was delightful. As the sun set it became chilly and they shared blankets with us to keep warm. One of the most special experiences we've had.

The Inn at Stonecliffe is a very magical place for anyone. We had a great interactions with all staff, they are most welcoming and helpful. The facility is perfect from finishes to attention to detail for you to enjoy. Food was amazing and three different dining experiences--casual to. a dressy. Our room was lovely and the housekeeping staff did not miss a beat. We appreciated the games outside, the outdoor fire pits, orchards and chicken coop, small hiking trails. Just a lovely place!!!

This is a five star resort facility that pays attention to the details. Beautiful views of the lake and bridge throughout the property (and from some of the rooms). Very attentive, friendly, professional, and polite staff. Lawn games for all ages, pool, on-site restaurant and bar (excellent food and cocktails), general store, close to the Woods Golf Course (Grand Hotels back 9 course), on site bike rental, and so much more. You are going to pay a bit more to stay here compared to a few other hotels on the island but it is well worth it! If you are thinking about Stonecliffe or another Big Hotel down the street, treat yourself and stay at Stonecliffe. We have stayed at that other Big Hotel and given my choice I would choose Stonecliffe every time!!!!! If you are new to traveling to Mackin
