Pampered, Spoiled, Utterly Valued...That's how we felt as guests at Mission Point Resort. We booked one of their smallest rooms (a Main Lodge Queen) with the Bed-And-Breakfast Package--and had a larger-than-life, truly wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in until we hopped the Ferry back to Mackinaw City, we were treated like royalty. Every Mission Point Host we encountered, from the cheerful folks who welcomed us with a room key and a smile, to the kind lady who cleaned our room, to the amazing people who served us in The Round Island Kitchen (and everyone in between) was professional, attentive and cordial. The room was spotless, the facilities were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the stay was restful. It was a short walk from our comfortable hotel room to Arch Rock,

Growing up 'downstate' we used to travel 'up north' each year, and visit Mackinac, but we never stayed on the Island. So when I took my kids, we were going to spend one night on the Island! We chose Mission Point because of it's family friendliness and quality service and facilities. We were not disappointed! The upgraded room where we stayed was very nice - the historic building and facilities are well maintained. There was a lot for the kids to do, and I even got an hour or two free to go sit by the water and chill! The restaurant/food was also very good. We used MP as a place to kick off our bike ride around the Island, and the location for that was perfect. They have bike rental right there. Lots of other kid stuff to do - we even had story time in the lobby. Highly recommend for a fa

Exactly what is needed for a getaway. We’ve stayed here many times over the years, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots on the island. The location is perfect...quiet and scenic, yet just a short walk or bike ride to everything. It’s right where the island road starts to wind peacefully along the water, making it ideal for biking or morning walks. The resort has a historic charm but feels beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. The food is some of the best on the island, worth a visit on its own, but I’d highly recommend staying for a few nights to really enjoy it. Whether inside or out, there are plenty of comfortable spaces to relax, whether you’re with friends or on your own.

We were so excited about staying here, having paid for an upgraded room that I was assured by phone would be one of their nicer ones. The outside of the resort is beautiful. But as soon as we walked in the lobby we were hit with an unpleasant odor that continued throughout our stay. Thankfully, our luggage was delivered, since there wasn't an elevator to our floor, and I tipped well. The signage was very difficult to follow to find our room; we had to ask directions twice, and one of the housekeepers kindly walked us through the catacomb-like halls. When we walked in I was appalled. I have seen better furniture sitting on the curb for trash. Lamps that didn't work, a table with a broken leg, scratches on everything. Just totally worn out. The AC was a portable unit and it wasn't working. T
