My sister and I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel. It was everything that we were hoping it would be. Our room, #196, was beautiful with lovely floral wallpaper and our own balcony where we enjoyed morning coffee. In the afternoon we relaxed in comfortable rocking chairs and enjoyed tea on the Grand's famous porch, the largest in the world. The dining room is grand indeed and the meals were delicious. On our second day we took a carriage tour around the island that was cozy, fun and informative, and in mid October the Fall colors were at peak. It was a lovely trip and I recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to go.

As always, our stay at the Grand was excellent, we had great weather, and the food was AMAZING! The hotel is always a unique experience. We HIGHLY recommend the History Lectures, Bob is a dynamic speaker, both funny and informative. It's just one of the things that set the Grand apart from other resort hotels.

From a visit and picture standpoint. This hotel is iconic, especially for those that have ever watched Somewhere in Time with Jane Seymour and the late Christopher Reeves. This movie made me want to check out this hotel years ago. The hotel's grand porch is quite intriguing and allows for many guests to sit in their chairs to on-look. This is the kind of porch my mom always wanted since she was little. I didn't stay here for an overnight, but did come for a scheduled brunch with some a friend and two kids years ago in their main dining room. It was an extremely busy Saturday morning. The service was a bit hectic, yet still not bad amidst the chaos. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary as I might have hoped for the price. It was over $300 for 4 of us with some drink and food a

Staying at the Grand Hotel is a wonderful experience, I just love the whole atmosphere and the going back in time. The staff, and servers were wonderful, the food was delicious! The only thing that I was disappointed in was our room, the decor was way to busy for me, wallpaper, and awning type cover over the head of our bed and curtains all in different patterns. Also, the beds only had 2 pillows, and I myself need two pillows to sleep, I had a very difficult time trying to get comfortable to sleep, I should have requested another pillow, most hotels have numerous pillows on the beds. The conference accommodations were to my liking. Overall good stay!

Beautiful, historic, elegant, inspiring. Mackinac island's Grand Hotel is a destination worth the journey, and worth saving-up a few coins to visit (day pass) or stay. So Much to see (quick walk thru video attached) or simply be part (and take part) of the experiences. Fast tips: Try to catch an afternoon tea or evening coffee with classical musicians at the Parlor level. Notes about evening formal wear apply to the Parlor level, resort casual is accepted all other locations in the evenings. If stairs are OK visit the Cupola bar at the top of the hotel for the views and the music. Horse-drawn taxis are $9 each way per person to 'downtown or back, cash preferred. Walking to downtown and back is generally easy, with great views and you'll pass by the Gate House restaurant. Many bicycles ca
