Harbour View Inn - Mackinac Island, MI

The Harbour View Inn is a wonderful place to stay on Mackinac Island! The property is beautiful, the staff are super friendly & very helpful, the location is also a plus not far from downtown & extra peaceful after the ferries are done for the day! When my husband and I got to our room we noticed there was no refrigerator. Went down to the front desk to see if it was possible to have one & the front desk clerk was happy to help! She called house keeping right away & we were lucky enough that there was a fridge to spare for us. Our room in the guest house building was very nice and we enjoyed the shared balcony! Even had a view of the water. We also loved that breakfast was included! Although the food choices didn't change much day to day it was still a nice, light breakfast option. Most

We chose a room in the main building with a queen bed for the option of a harbor view. The balcony had a beautiful view of the harbor, it had four chairs and was shared with another room that was unoccupied. The bed was extremely comfortable with a the sink/mirror in the room with the bed. All staff were extremely friendly! Very pleased with the breakfast and rooms provided abundant choices for eating. Plenty of room the socialize with a large parlor, a small parlor, outdoor balcony and patio tables/chairs. The location was not downtown, which was nice to get away from the crowds.

The main building is majestic sitting on a steep hill overlooking the harbor. The grounds and landscaping is colorful and lush. In the lovely lobby with fresh cut flowers and cookies and muffins welcomed us. The front desk staff was welcoming. ||The continental breakfast was wonderful offering fresh fruit, fresh home made bake goods and more. This was the best breakfast we had on our vacation. ||When I checked in I was assigned to a room in their guest house. This meant walking up a steep hill to the guest house. After chatting with the front desk they were able to change our room to the main building. I would caution folks with ambulatory disabilities to seriously evaluate this beautiful place. Not all buildings have an elevator and there are only 4 ADA rooms according to management. |

Charming. The main building is simply that, charming. Welcoming, clean, beautiful. The breakfast in the main building was a bit more plentiful than in the Cottage, but there was a nice variety and so nice to be included in the price of the room. There was lemon water in the lobby and blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies. Very welcoming and beautiful. The porch was delightful as well, both on the main building and the Cottage.||Harbour view? A sliver of a view. The location, however, was perfect. Just a short, easy walk from downtown and past the fort. We loved the location and that our luggage was transferred directly to and from the hotel to the ferry.||Our room was tiny, scuffed up. Our stay here was great! Our room did not have a mini fridge and microwave, but the in-room jacuzzi was worth much more than that. Friendly staff and smooth check-in and check-out process. They were very good with luggage and got our bags to the ferry right on time.
