The Inn at Newburyport

Very cute and cozy little Inn (only 12ish rooms). Loved how it was walking distance to everything - shops, restaurants, waterfront. The rooms were large (included sitting area, kitchen, and bathroom) and clean. On street parking was easy. Didn't realize that management is not on-site but that wasn't a problem at all as check-in/out was easily explained in a welcome email. Very happy - Would absolutely stay here again!

Our "little apartment" was on the first floor. We were thrilled!!!! King size bed, beautiful wide wood plank flooring, chairs, nice TV, fireplace (not working, but beautiful) in the bedroom, bright with lots of windows, a small full kitchen; complete with silverware, dishes, free coffee pods, frig, stove, dishtowels, etc; a complete bathroom (although rather small), but there is nothing more you could ask for here. VERY comfortable, very original, old but in a gorgeous way. Easy walk to downtown. Street parking, but, plenty of it. Nice and quiet. Very quaint.

Stayed in a one bedroom with a living room and small kitchen (#5). Clean and comfortable. Homey and pleasant on a quiet side street two blocks from the waterfront and shops. Park the car and walk around - no need to drive unless going outside of downtown Newburyport. Air conditioners worked well and I was thankful since temps were close to 100 that week. Stocked with coffee, tea, sugar and bathroom necessities. Would return if looking to go there again. A great hotel alternative - more space for the same price.

Currently under a deep renovation, it is possible that this business may be converted to multi-unit housing. Great location near YWCA pool & fitness center, great restaurants/bars in both Newburyport and Salisbury, such as Michael's Harborside, and the Deck. Plum Island Kayak rentals nearby, as well as David's Fish Market, a premier fishmonger in the greater Amesbury / Nbpt area.

We stayed here for the first time while visiting my daughter and her family. I've stayed in a number of different places in Newburyport over the years including the Essex Street Inn and AirBnB places, this was the best. The rooms/suites are very spacious and nicely appointed. Great facilities too including a nice kitchen. While there isn't any daily housekeeping services, I kind of enjoyed that. While we never met the manager, I spoke to him by phone a couple of times and he was very helpful. Highly recommend it!!
