Essex Street Inn

We ended up having about 10 rooms here for our wedding, and we received not one complaint or suggestion about the location, other than some confusion about multiple buildings. It was very clean and modern, the bed was comfortable, all of our guests were able to find parking in the lot or on the street (with snow on the ground!). Our two-floor apartment exceeded expectations, with a fireplace and two bathrooms, it was perfect for our stay. We will definitely be staying here again.

I booked a “suite”. The one room had only one chair and a Hugh jacuzzi in that room which was right beside the bed. There was a raised hearth that one had to step over when rising from bed. It was clearly a trip/fall risk. The rating would have been lower except for the quiet heat (baseboard) and the very comfortable bed, and because the room Hotel was booked so manager couldn’t change the room.

Our families and the wedding party booked the entire hotel for an October wedding weekend. The rooms were updated and amazing, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast options included in the room prices were plentiful and delicious. The complimentary soup and cookies in the afternoon were welcome on cool days. Our elderly guests were especially happy with the spacious accessible accommodations. The hotel is centrally located in Newburyport and allowed the guests to walk to restaurants, bars, and sightseeing opportunities. We would definitely book here again!

I stay at this Inn quite a bit and I continue to return because of the great hospitality and service I receive. Not to mention the Location is amazing walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Darcy the manager is always a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend

Lovely house, fantastic experience at check in, comfortable room, close to everything. We can actually park the car for the whole stay and walk to restaurants and shops all around. Despite being so close to downtown, the place was absolutely quiet.
