Hygge House Suites

Cute hotel-style suites in downtown Newburyport. Stayed in the Jade room on the third floor, which was spacious enough for 2. Perfect location, walkable to everything. Staff was lovely and attentive, as the place immaculate. The cons: the building is not handicap accessible, the 2nd and 3rd floors are staircases only. The parking situation is… a situation. There are 3 spaces for 15 rooms, with not enough width in the back of the house to safely park a midsize SUV (unless you’re a parallel parking whiz, which I am not). We ended up paying to park at a municipal lot, which were all very walkable, convenient, and cheap. Walls are fairly thin, which means that we heard our neighbors most of the day/night which was fine, but could be a drawback for light sleepers. Overall would stay again, but

We enjoyed our stay last month! So close to everything. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean, and it was pretty quiet! We felt safe with the door code at the main door as well as the door to our suite. I thought it was a little crazy how much they charge for “VIP Parking” but we just chose to park elsewhere so it was totally fine! We flew in from out of state and needed to rent a car so we had no choice but to bring one. I would avoid going into their back complimentary parking lot at all costs. They are being 100% serious when they say compact cars only. Someone with an SUV parked back there and we couldn’t even get out with a smaller car. Parking is easy to find even if you have to pay over night. We would for sure stay here again if we made an

Would stay again, can highly recommend I really enjoyed my 12 night stay at The Hygge House. The Moss Suite perfectly met my needs. The location was excellent, being on a quiet side street in beautiful, historic Newburyport and literally just steps away from all the fun shops, restaurants, cafes as well as essential groceries. I appreciated the ample storage space, the room layout and decor. I didn’t cook while there, but the small kitchen was useful for coffee and tea prep. I appreciated the fridge for milk, apple cider etc. Smooth check-in and check out. The room was neat and clean. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and accommodating. Staying here close to downtown Newburyport was fantastic. The room was immaculate and well appointed with everything you would need for your stay. The check in/out process was easy and efficient. Correspondence was timely and appreciated. Great value for your dollar and the neighborhood is very charming ! I will be back.

I found the stay at Hygge House Suites Newburyport super charming and efficiently operated. The rooms were charming, the location was walkable to all the hotspots, parking was reasonably easy, and the contact-less process was quite straightforward. This is the future of lodging and accommodations and the apart-hotel allows you to enjoy a kitchen and stroll down the street for great dining and drinks.
