The Historic Artisan Downtown Hotel

Only stay here if you bring a gas mask and your own towels and sheets. My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and it was the worst hotel we ever stayed at. Don’t worry there will be pictures of some of the disgusting horrors. First when you come into the lobby you are hit with a strong fishy old grease type of smell. The lobby shares a space with their restaurant but even when the restaurant is closed it still reeks of fish and old grease. Then the floors are dingy and sticky and the elevator is filthy and looks like a service elevator. Do not be fooled by the lovely hallways and vintage staircase charm. Our room on the 3rd floor left much to be desired. The room also carried the smell of fish and a strong chemical air freshener scent. The couch and chair in the room were dingy and staine

The room is beautiful and feels like a European apt. My only two complaints which do make this a deal breaker for staying here again is 1) the plugged in Glade PlugIn in BOTH rooms was SOOOOOOO STRONG that I couldn’t breathe well. Like headache inducing chemical smell of fresh sheets of whatever the heck it was. It was horrible and staff apparently leaves after a certain time on Sunday when I arrived after 9pm so too late to ask for a change of a room ( my bad… maybe not alll rooms smell like the Glade Plug Ins?) Anyway, the living room area smelled like harsh chemical plug in and the bedroom was soooo much worse. OMG and I am NOT a complainer type of person… honest to goodness I am not. Can’t open the windows, they’re painting shut and no way to really ventilate, but I did unplug those G

Beautiful historic hotel in downtown DeLand. I only stayed for one night on a Saturday evening, but I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious and clean, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The bar/lounge downstairs was convenient, and the bartender was friendly and accommodating. The complimentary parking was a nice perk. Just be sure that you obtain a parking pass from the front desk when you check in so that your car is not towed. There is also a Cuban restaurant attached to the hotel, which smelled delicious, but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to try it while I was visiting. My room was clean and beautiful, and it had a separate living room area that had a microwave, desk, couch, and mini fridge. It was almost like a mini apartment, so

Nothing open Mondays. My mistake. However if there is an issue with planing sunday and Monday nothingness.......there is no refunds on days if you leave early. The rooms have some aquard stains on furniture. The tv Remote barely works at close range. Street noise is very intense with alot of people reving and trying to impress past 10. We stayed for 2 nights . The restaurant at hotel is really good amazing in fact. area is fun and real. Especially the bagel spot down the street.

This cute hotel in downtown is very quaint. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. I appreciate the amenities that are included in the room. The room is a Nice size too. I love the little rooftop bar and lounge. Nice that it shuts down by 11pm so I can get some sleep. Chris the concierge was very helpful and accommodating. Great service. If I’m in deland I will book again!
