The Edgewater

Hesitate to write a review because I want a vacancy available next summer! The Edgemere is familiar to me, having stayed before the pandemic. I was delighted to see the same and yet different beautiful property. Rooms have clearly been upgraded… Subtle hues of blue and whimsical touches. Staff very friendly. I had a reservation snafu… My fault… And they readily remedied. The main draw, of course is the close by and private beach.|If you are not familiar with old Orchard Beach, there is lots to do maybe particularly for families. Amusements, food, the famous pier. A very wonderful experience overall.

We stayed at the Edgewater on a cool October day and were greeted with a lovely office that had gorgeous fall flowers surrounding the doors. The staff was able to accommodate a super early check-in which we were grateful for. The Orchard Beach area was basically closed for business which is understandable for a beach town. We drove to Portland and enjoyed an afternoon near the piers where we had some amazing sea food. The room was perfect for us. The oceanfront view from our super cute room was spectacular. We picked up a bottle of wine and some snacks and enjoyed part of the evening on the deck and part inside near the little fireplace with the window open so we could watch the sunset over the waves. We had a great stay at The Edgewater. The staff was very friendly, the grounds were incredibly well kept and really clean. And the room were very comfortable and very clean as well. The room we had was even nicer than the pictures posted on-line. As for the location, I don't think you can get any closer to the beach than this. We enjoyed our stay very much and if we are ever back in the area they are the first place I would try and book again! Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant!

We have stayed here around 10 times over the past few years, always a good experience.i had to cancel a couple reservations recently for a family emergency, the assistant manager Heather Rice was so helpful dealing with an issue with the credit cards. She should probably get a promotion. Best hotel in Old Orchard Beach.

Had a very good stay here with my daughter. Just took a weekend trip to Old Orchard Beach and stayed here and the rooms are cozy with comfy beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue is there's a train that runs nearby and it can be a bit much when it blares its horn during the night- not the hotels fault but just want to mention it.
