The Dörr Hotel

Very NEW modern hotel. If you want to skip the dusty grandma cottage rental this is for you. Rooms were huge and all had a balcony facing the bay. Room amenities include small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, wardrobe, sitting area (king room) and cable TV with every channel imaginable. The bathrooms had nice Kohler upgrades with a spacious shower. I didn't see it noted on the website but there is at least one EV charger right in the parking lot! Spent 3 nights here and met many other guests and employees while lounging in the wonderful lobby. The cozy fireplace provided amazing ambiance while sipping on a glass of wine or playing a game (hotel has many to choose from). Limited bar is open until at least 9pm with beer and wine. Excellent experience. This is a modern, new, well maintained hotel. Very clean and well organized. We all slept soundly in a beautiful bed with crisp cotton bedding.|They have a beautiful view of Sister Bay from the balconies and in walking distance to shops, bars, and fine dining.

Modern Nordic extravagance! The staff is so welcoming. The bubbly is flowing in the gorgeous lobby. The rooms are modern, clean and quiet. The beds are perfect, well for Valentine's Day. Shh. A fantastically relaxing experience!

In my whole life I have never paid anywhere near $450/night for a hotel. And I would not have if my son hadn't chosen it as our hotel during our family vacation for the Sister Bay Fall Festival this year. For that price I expected so much more. Yes, we were within easy reach of all things festival with a parking spot, but that was a hefty price for that convenience. The room was spacious enough (but not THAT spacious) and comfortable for us three adults. As noisy as the weekend was, the room was extremely quiet. The two pillows per person were too big for us side sleepers. I had to move one of the two chairs to my side of the bed to act as a bedside table. Lighting in the bathroom could have been better. Great Rooms, Fantastic Location, Questionable Value The Dorr is a slick, modern hotel in the heart of downtown Sister Bay. It's a small, boutique lodge that offers comfortable spaces, minimal breakfast, a location that can't be beat (for Sister Bay activities, and little else by way of amenities. We stayed for the Sister Bay Fall Fest 2025. The Dorr was right in the heart of the action. We really liked the room. It was quiet, despite the throng of people, thumping music, and chaos just outside our window. The mattresses and linens were very comfy. The table was a good size and the balony was perfect for watching the festival or the parade. The main weakness of the bed was the pillows.
