Open Hearth Lodge

This was the perfect place for a girls weekend. I picked this place due to the amenities and when we arrived, we were surprised with more! Snacks and libations in the lobby for purchase, fire pits galore, live singing entertainment, etc. we got the evergreen suite and it was perfect for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms (2 each) were clean, spacious, and beautiful. We will definitely be returning. 3 minutes away from a delicious Thai/sushi restaurant hidden away.

Great atmosphere, nicely decorated. Room was excellently prepared for our arrival. Cozy bed. Nice view of the outback firepit. Staff was very friendly and welcomed us, gave us tips of places to eat, as jan most places are closed, We will be back!

This lodge was so much better than expected. Inviting, warm, accommodating, clean, and picturesque. Room was ready early (blessing in a snowstorm) close to everything and had a free shuttle to local events. Clean room, ample towels, pool, hot tub, games, puzzles, and books to use. Laundry on site. Food, wine, beer for purchase with glasses to use! (VERY AFFORDABLE). Adorable fire pits and seating outside. Dog friendly with their own in room amenities. Can stream from all the popular services in room and enjoy a private fireplace. Open Hearth was a welcome oasis from the blizzard and had everything we needed and more.

It's a shame I haven't left a review before. We have been coming here in the early summer and late fall for the last 4-5 years. This year we made three trips. The staff and owners are outstanding, and we've made the Open Hearth our only choice. Clean Room. Fresh Breakfast. Easy location to day-trip from. Door County has excellent fishing, good eating, and beautiful Sunsets. The Open Hearth Lodge is in the middle of it all!

Positive: The owner was so personable, greeting us anytime he saw us and made sure we knew all the amenities. He also posted all the happenings in the area including restaurants open and close times. This was incredibly helpful, since it was a holiday weekend. Negative: ""
