The Dockside Inn

Fantastic location, friendly staff, and they offer breakfast! The rooms were clean, without a trace of mildew that happens in seaside hotels due to the humidity. The property is centrally located a few minutes walk from the ferries and all the OB action. The hotel has a front and a back side that are separate and steps to the rooms (no elevators). The backyard/courtyard is well maintained and a nice place to chill.

Stayed at the Inn between Saturday, August 30, and Wednesday, September 3. The Inn is in a great location near several restaurants and Circuit Street, which includes a variety of nice shops and additional restaurants. The Inn also consisted of a well stocked snack room with coffee and other goodies as well as tables to eat and do work, if needed. Another plus was the chairs on the balconies, which I used to do some reading. ||However, there were gnats and ants that would appear in the room, which I brought to the attention of the front desk. The Inn didn't have any bug spray, but I was provided with air fresher to address the bugs. When I inquired if anyone else complained about bugs, I was informed that no one had mentioned the issue. The dockside inn is a boutique hotel on circuit ave ext. just steps away from the best spots to eat in oak bluffs! The hotel offers morning essentials to its guests which is a blessing on mornings when you’re just not ready to step out in public lol I can’t stay enough wonderful things about the owner and staff, they really know how to make your vacation memorable!

Clean, comfortable, and staffed by genuinely kind people—this hotel was a great find. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Oak Bluffs and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the ferry, beaches, and bus stops to other towns. For Martha’s Vineyard, the price is very reasonable, especially considering the added perks. I really appreciated the little extras, like the self-serve area with snacks and drinks, and even beach gear available for guests—that thoughtful touch made a big difference. I’d definitely stay here again!

I stayed here 12 years ago not much has changed. The Dockside is located right next to the ferry arriving from Rhode Island. You are actually within walking distance. The room was clean but had a musty smell and a slight ant issue. There is a snack room that is stocked with all kinds of snacks, water, coffee station, ice cream and an area for eating. The Dockside offers towels, chairs and toys for the beach. They have a hot tub and a beautiful porch area to people watch, enjoy the weather and have a meal. The Dockside is inviting and just steps away from all kinds of restaurants, the dock and souvenir shops, you can also book ferry service to other towns just steps away from the Inn.
