Martha's Vineyard Surfside Hotel

We stayed at this hotel over the Fourth of July, and unfortunately the rooms did not reflect the photos shown online. While I understand that it was a holiday weekend, the price we paid did not align with the quality of the accommodations. The room felt outdated and poorly maintained, which did not meet my expectations. The one positive is the location. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many attractions, which was very convenient. However, given the rates being charged, the property is in need of significant updates and improvements.

We had such a nice visit here. We took advantage of quite a few amenities that made our stay even better—they have a bike rack for guests so we could rent bikes and keep them overnight. They also have a microwave in the lobby so one night we gathered up all our restaurant leftovers and ate in the lovely little courtyard. We used the beach chairs and towels one day which were clean and easy to take with us. The staff were always very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. The location cannot be beat. We will definitely be back!

My room had a leak from he ceiling in two different places in my bathroom. I informed the front desk but nothing was done because the room above me had a do not disturb sign on it. Sounds ridiculous but true. The leak went on for 24 hours. The smell increased as time went on. They could not move me because all the rooms were booked. When I checked out they offered me a $100 credit. That was insulting. I will NEVER stay there again. The front desk person and Amoy were nice but management refused to credit me a night for the inconvenience.

Wonderful hotel with charming rooms and friendly staff. The property is spotless and offers beautiful views. Conveniently located right across from the ferry, with restaurants, bars, and shops all just a short walk away. Plus, there’s a family owned bike rental right next door- father and son with a full staff ! |Couldn’t ask for a better experience !

My cousin and I visited Martha's Vineyard for Columbus Day weekend. We decided to stay for an extra day and walked upon the Surside Inn. The young lady at the service desk was most helpful very kind. The rooms were clean and the location of this hotel was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. If I ever return to Martha's Vineyard in the future. I would definitely stay again!!
