The Cove of Lake Geneva

This was a very nice hotel. The room was huge and clean it had a little kitchen in it and a fireplace. The pool was big, hot tub was nice except the jets weren't working when we went. They have a 24 hr little snack area which was convenient for us, and it was super close to all the downtown spots. Would be cool to come back in the summer , looked like they had an outdoor pool and hot tub too. Would definitely recommend and will probably be back at some point.

I’ve been coming to The Cove at least once a year for over 20 years. I can say, I’m so disappointed and won’t be back. The first room they tried to put us in was a slight upgrade from a Motel 6. Carpet from the 70’s and the bed inches from the door. I asked to be placed in a different room, of course I had to pay the upgrade. The upgrade was better, but not spectacular. For what this place charges, they need to do better. Upgrade the rooms, fix the busted up furniture, repair cracked walls, and maybe have at least a spatula available to cook breakfast. Sorry to say, The Cove lost a loyal guest this weekend. We will try some other local spots on our next visit.

Positive: Location Negative: The bed was close to the entry door to the room. There was to much outside noise, was not able to get any much needed rest. Really wish we could have been assigned a suite with an interior bedroom it would have made our stay more peaceful and tranquil

We stayed in the large spacious loft with two bathrooms for our family of 4 with older teens. It was comfortable, quiet and close to everything. We walked to the restaurants and shops so you don’t have to worry about parking downtown. The front desk staff was wonderful! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to use the indoor pool which is way bigger than the one at the Grand Geneva (which we stayed at 3 years ago) but it looked like other families really enjoyed that amenity.

This hotel is alright. It really depends on your luck of the draw when it comes to rooms. From my understanding the rooms are “condos”. All are modeled differently and could be newer or some outdated. We were on the too floor and the upstairs is open air. So heat rises so it was warm. It felt clean for the most part. Dishwasher in our room did not work. Location is great if you want to be close to downtown. Our stay wasn’t terrible, but expected a little more.
