We attended the New Year’s Eve Casino Royale event hosted by The Maxwell Mansion, and it was a truly stellar experience. Each area of the hotel was elegantly appointed with casino-themed décor and buzzed with energy and excitement. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary cocktail and provided with a schedule of the evening’s events. The outside garden geodome tent was filled with enthusiastic guests enjoying blackjack and poker tables, along with a lively craps table that kept the excitement going. The bars throughout the mansion did not disappoint. Walking down the outdoor stairs to access the speakeasy—using the secret password—felt like stepping back into another era. Maxwell Mansion is a beautifully restored Victorian boutique hotel just steps from downtown Lake Geneva and the lake. The stylish rooms and romantic atmosphere make it a perfect backdrop for creative projects. I recently did a styled shoot here and the historic charm paired with modern touches made every detail feel elevated and timeless. It is truly a unique and inspiring space.

My first time at Maxwell Mansion, I stayed here for New Years Eve, 2025. The hotel provided a James Bond themed party that was quite fun, it was well planned and the staff were notably accommodating. Check-in was easy and fast, the rooms are opened by a code which I found to be quite convenient. I stayed in the "stable" building, there are numerous accommodation choices. The mansion itself has rooms and then there are two additional, free standing buildings on the property, all walking distance to the main hotel building. The stable building was very well appointed, and appeared the be brand new. Wood floors, vaulted ceiling, cozy lounges, a bar cart and a massive shower, with a steam option. I recently attended an event at Maxwell Mansion and we had such a great time! The back patio and apothecary bar were perfect for the fun in and out access, awesome ambiance and decor. Our group really enjoyed the cozy outdoor lounges and fire! The drinks were so good, the hospitality was on point and the vibe was amazing! I highly recommend having your event at Maxwell!! You won’t be disappointed!

The Maxwell Mansion is a terrific place to visit ... particularly at Halloween. The decorations are amazing! The Speak Easy and Apothecary were so much fun! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our room in the Carriage House was cute and super clean. Our only complaint was that the walls were so thin we felt like we were sleeping with our next-door snoring/coughing neighbor. But don't let that stop you from visiting. Maxwell Mansion is a great place!
