Such a nice place! Clean, modern, overlooking superior. I highly recommend this for a stay. It's not far from downtown Marquette, I mean sure there are hotels that are closer but this honestly still isn't very far and I like it much more than a higher star rated hotel I stayed at downtown. I love how everything is updated, love the views, and the contactless check in process. The kitchenette area is very convenient. The room is up to date and comfortable. And clean. I wish there was a designated closet area. I like the high ceilings and the additional cabinetry near the kitchenette.
All you will hear is traffic inside of the room. The room is not off of the lake. There is a 4 lane busy road in between the lake and the motel. Paper thin walls and windows. You can hear everything. The windows need to be changed ASAP. There was crumbs on the countertop , fingerprints on the headboards from the previous tenants. The only positives is that the beds are comfy and the Room is spacious. The pillows suck. Yeah I'd highly rethink staying here.
We were pleased with our room, balcony and view. It’s lovely to look out the large window in the room and see Lake Superior and freighters. The AC worked well and the internet access was great as my kid was able to use it for his online class with no issues. The kitchenette was nice to have - great to have an extra sink outside of the one in the bathroom. The bathroom was larger than a typical hotel bathroom and very nice. 10 am was a pretty early checkout time for a hotel though. That would be the one suggestion I would make - 11am is more reasonable. Lots of amenities and an overall good stay. We would come back and stay again.
The hotel advertises early check-in, but what they don’t make clear is that they’ll try to charge $25 per hour for every hour early. Then, as if doing you a favor, they switch it to a “flat $25 fee from 1pm to your 3pm check in.” The room was already empty and cleaned, so it felt like nothing more than a way to squeeze out a few extra dollars. Very disappointing and not transparent… First time I’ve ever even heard of an early check in fee most places will give you the courtesy if the room is free which ours seemed to be. Also, the room smelled pretty awful, like someone has been smoking cigarettes in it for years.
We had to make a trip to the hospital and it was going to be an overnight trip.we had to bring our dog with us always an adventure lol. Really dog friendly,Lake Superior and the Iron Ore trail right across the hwy.Very clean comfortable affordable rooms. They have bikes available, just a cute hidden gem between Marquette and Harvey. Thank you for making a stressful trip alot easier.
