Where shall I begin? I called this property on Tuesday and wanted to spend two nights but didn’t know where. I called to inquire about their services as we wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Prior to booking, Perry Hirsch, whom we’ve never met, answered my phone call and he was very warm, welcoming and friendly. Basically, we were sold right after we spoke to him as we knew that’s the type of service we were looking for. Tim was very professional and had a great attitude. James, the overnight front desk was phenomenal. He gave my husband a tour and treated us like family. The property is beyond clean, beautiful and perfect in every way. Probably, the best hotel stay we have ever had! We will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much! You guys are AWESOME!

Tarrytown House Estate — A breakdown of basic housekeeping and room readiness I rarely write negative reviews, but this stay was frustrating enough that I feel obligated to share it for other travelers—especially because the issues weren’t minor “preferences.” They were basic cleanliness and room-readiness failures that never should have made it past inspection. I arrived and checked in at approximately 10:00 PM after a long day and was looking forward to getting into a clean, functional room and going to sleep. Instead, the first room we were assigned was clearly not turned and not ready for occupancy. The bed was unmade, the sheets were dirty, there were towels left on the floor, and there was trash still in the bin. It was obvious nobody had done the standard housekeeping reset. We to

Positive: The buffet breakfast was lovely. The food was good and the view was stunning. Negative: Hoped for more ambience based on the outside appearance of the hotel. It was like staying in a Motel 6 - very ordinary. No elevator near our room and down 2 flights of stairs plus a long walk to get to level 1.

absolutely stunning hotel!! the room was extremely spacious and i loved the little window bench nook that they had in place. i enjoyed the side tables as they were unique and not something you’d see in your average hotel. the bed was comfortable and the blankets were nice. there was an extra blanket provided on the end of the bed which was a nice touch when it got chilly at night. the grounds were absolutely phenomenal, and the little hang out spots were super cozy. to get nit picky, i will say there were quite a few cups laying around outside from the restaurant on site, but that’s more so complaining about the people who sit outside and not the staff, there is plenty of garbage cans nearby to throw away your own cups, i don’t think it’s the restaurant staffs job to clean up after grown a

From the outside this hotel is beautiful but we found both rooms to be very dark despite their renovations. We originally had a room in the mansion but had to ask for another one because with no elevator and a recent orthopedic surgery, it was not feasible to take our bags up the stairs. We were moved to an “ADA accessible” room, but again there were three sets of stairs to reach the room (and no elevator). This hotel is not an accessible hotel if you’re injured or a wheelchair user. The second room we were given was also very dark and the lighting when turned on was very bright artificial LED lightbulbs. The second room didn’t have any towels when we were in there. The toilet/shower area was incredibly small (knees basically touching the door situation). The mini fridge didn’t work. Howev
