Our recent trip to Talon lodge was outstanding, made extraordinarily so by the crew that took us on our daily fishing adventure. Captain Gavin and CJ were the perfect duo for us, making the experience unforgettable! We caught lots of fish; king salmon, silver coho, halibut, amid good food, fun and frivolity. What an experience!! From stepping off the plane the staff was all hands on deck! Helping secure luggage and getting you into town to sight see before the trip over to the island. All very generous and knowledgeable at the same time. Once they loaded the luggage and hauled it over to the island they came back and picked my wife and I up plus the others in the group and we set sail to the island. Stepping into the gorgeous sand on what may as well be a post card we were greeted with kind smiles, direction, and some great delicious food from the chefs. The whole talon staff is not only some of the warmest kindest people you will interact with during your visit but very knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience at Talon Lodge. Accommodations were excellent, food was delicious, and setting was stunning. But the fish was made especially good by our time on the boat fishing with Captain Gavin and CJ. These guys put us on tons of fish, were easy going / fun to hang out with, and made sure we were well taken care of. Best fishing experience our group has ever had - thanks Gavin, CJ, and the whole Talon Lodge crew.

My wife and I just spent four days at the Talon Lodge with a group of ten friends and it was truly phenomenal! It is hard to pick our favorite part because it was all so great. The Talon staff is very impressive from Stephanie who called each of us in advance to make sure we knew what to expect to Jared who picked us up at our hotel in Sitka and made us feel welcome right away to Travis and Amika who took some of us flyfishing to Cole and Bekah who welcomed us and then expertly guided us through every part of our stay to Bailey and Emily at the bar with the best view and service anywhere. I never expected to gain a few pounds on a fishing trip. I guess the multiple courses for our dinners with the fabulous desserts might’ve had something to do with it. The staff at Talon is extremely attentive and pleasant. From the spa to the deck hands everyone is focused on making sure you have a fabulous time. Every meal was amazing, and we were amazed with the fact that there was a chef, sous chef, pastry, chef, and other staff in the kitchen serving our group of 30. Each one of the chefs was amazing.||The next time we go, and they’re certainly will be, and next time, we will want to focus not so much on the fabulous fishing, but on all of the other things there are to do in the area. Photographing the beautiful sites, hiking, biking, freshwater fishing, and I know there is more. We ba
