Shout out to Jennifer who works at this location! She is so friendly and welcoming and HELPFUL! She goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met and your stay goes smoothly. We are Thousand Trails members and we come to Tahoe more than any other location. The public bathrooms are always clean and heated very warm in the cold months! Also love that the showers and toilets are individual and private as opposed to having one large bathroom with many stalls for people to share. Neat trails to explore, quiet at night and in the morning, large perimeter and it’s very close to the hustle and bustle of town! We got to see some wildlife as well. Their little store has fair prices and pretty much anything we’ve ever needed. Beautiful scenery!
Location is perfect. The bathroom and shower are warm and clean. We have been here twice in different seasons, and it has different beauties at various times of the year. Will definitely keep coming back.
It is a wonderful site with relatively expensive price. The only issue we would like to raise is the site preparation upon our arrival. It had been shoveled for a narrow RV parking site, however, it was not possible to go around the RV's , it was piled up with too much of snows, which is dangers to walk, could make campers be injured or killed. The site should be able to be prepared with a reasonable conditions, considering we paid such a high fee to stay. please considering to improve this, making the site be prepared safe and at least to avoid serious accident on your site
We stayed here almost a month in the fall after Labor Day. Great location for nearby trails and activities. The airport is nearby and can be noisy but it’s not very frequent and never after dark. This campground can get very crowded during peak weekends but we had fun at there vintage trailer meet up. Campgrounds electrical was spotty at some of the sites and cell reception is pretty low, we had to use Starlink. Bears and coyotes are pretty common visitors even during the day sometimes. Overall we loved our stay here and the staff was very accommodating
Very nice park. Great dog play area had a surprise one morning with some bears next to the play area, but they shuffled off on their own and didn’t cause any issues. Would be great to see the fence repaired a little bit in the back corners where people have climbed over for whatever reason, but the park and all was clean, and most of the dog poop had been picked up.
