Nice big lodge. The bolt on the door says "bearricade" - you can hang your food from the rafters here because it's enclosed. It's pretty close to the summit of Mansfield, so it's a big relief to get here when you're NOBO and done or maybe a good staging place for Mansfield in the morning if you are SOBO. Has caretaker ($5 fee), but he was a nice guy and helpful.
Rustic cabin on the Long Trail of Mount Mansfield. We ate lunch inside. It was clean and quaint. There was an outhouse as well
Wonderfully comfortable log cabin, free to use out of season, about 30 min (200m) from summit of Mansfield, has outhouse and water source
Wonderful place to spend the night. caretaker dillon was a pleasure to talk to. Water source located right next to the shelter.
A really nice, spacious Lodge on the Long Trail. Water was a small trickle after many days of no rain
