Surfside Motel Marina Resort

Enjoyed our stay. Rooms were nice and had mini frig and microwave, which is always a plus. Friendly staff and even right on 23, it was a quiet night. Definitely will come back.

This place is amazing. Clean and within walking distance to town/beach. They have a beautiful view front and back with free kayak and paddle boats. Real coffee maker in the room with is difficult to find these days. We walked to the Boat House for dinner and had a lovely meal. Then sat by the River in the back with a bottle of wine. It was perfect. The Motel provides plenty of lounging areas in the back along with a fire pit and cornhole.

First time staying at Surfside resort and it was great! Tim (owner) greeted us on the check-in. Was friendly and helpful. The owners keep the grounds in beautiful shape. Fishing off the dock in the Tawas river did not disapoint. Multiple large mouth and smallies as well as numerous panfish. Easy location to Tawas beaches and restaurants. We will be a repeat customer!

We look forward to staying at Surfside each year on our way up north! What an adorable, super clean, cozy, comfortable place. Beautiful manicured lawn with gorgeous flowers will tell you they take pride in their business. The open lake view across the street is magnificent with the morning sunrise. Just beautiful. Cleanest place I've seen in a long time! Since we are usually just passing through we have not taken advantage of the free kayaks to paddle down the river right behind this place nor have we enjoyed the use of its back yard with fire pit. See you next year!

I booked the venue in March for couple of rooms for myself & family. The day we arrived we were warmly greeted & allowed to enter early. The rooms were everything we needed & wanted & the hosts were most accommodating. One large cottage type room with kitchen & separate sleeping and living room. The other room was cute & cozy & perfect for just me! The views are so soothing, with ducks & deer & bunnies every morning to enjoy with coffee outside your door. We kayaked, swam, barbecued, and had a campfire with all the comforts of a cottage. Location is across from the Lake, with walking & swimming in the sand. Flowers abundant, quiet venue yet close to stores, restaurants & sights to see. Thanks to Tim & Wendy for making our vacation epic in all the special ways!
