Harbor View Inn

If you hate ghosts, DO NOT book room 3. Opened the room, everything was fine, but little did we know we were sitting in a haunted room. First, the chair wheels started chipping; we didn't think much of it. Then the remote batteries just corroded, and the remote was unusable, but when we thought everything was over, the internet went out. Then after that, the hanger holding the curtain up on the shower fell. Not thinking much of it, I put it back up and got in the shower. Then, the fan in the bathroom started making a weird noise for the rest of my shower. As if that wasn't enough, I looked down at my arms to find bruises that I certainly didn't have previously. As I am writing this, it's pm, and I have yet to go to bed, if anything happens, I will update this review.

On the outside it looks very well kept up but a modest 1950s era looking motel. I am staying in room three. It has 2 beds and a jacuzzi. The room is very big and in outstanding condition. It could not be any cleaner. I could not be more impressed with the place as a whole. I have been to all fifty states over the last 50 years and stayed in motels for decades. I have stayed at some really poor motels and all the way to the Waldorf Astoria. As far as small family owned motels are concerned this is probably the best one I have ever experienced in my decades of travels. Tawas is a beautiful town on the shores of Lake Huron.

One night stay in the smallest queen bedroom #1. We would stay again. It was clean, very comfy bed and included a basic breakfast at the hotel next door. The price was reasonable for summer rates in Tawas. The owner was great at communicating our details via text and we needed nothing. Thanks again!

I spent 2 nights at the Harbor View Inn and I can honestly say that this place was GREAT!! I was born in Tawas many years ago and came back to visit my birth town. So many motels still there from my youth and over the years they have become run down & not updated but this is NOT the case with Harbor View. It is completely updated and very clean. I highly recommend this motel and Vinny is a wonderful host. We will be back. Thank You 😊

Perfection! Highly recommend. Large, quiet, clean and well appointed rooms. Very helpful staff. Great communication. Very comfy bed and pillows. Super convenient check in/out. We travel a lot and the room just has all the thoughtful touches you really notice and appreciate when you are away from the comforts of home. Thanks Harbor View family! We will be back.
