Surf Villa Hotel

My experience was horrible! Parking Lot in back was small! Extra parking was Blocks away! Very expensive for the quality of room. Could barely move around in shower and I'm only 5'1" 126 lbs! The Manager was rude as ever and refused me a receipt until I argued with him for 18 minutes! Would not allow my children (2 adults male and female) entrance to my room! They just wanted to change their clothes after the beach because they had a 2 1/2 hrs drive and he refused them! I will NEVER return there and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! Wasn't modern at all! The Best thing about the room is a block from the beach. NEVER AGAIN!!

Heavily over priced for Country Calling festival. $1150 for 4 nights. Insane. But only place we could find close enough. The rooms were small and outdated. Very old furniture. One of the beds were held together with a bungee cord. The beds are rock hard. Was hoping to have a soft bed after being at a festival on our feet all day long but the bed actually made our bodies hurt worse. Bathroom was tiny, barely fit in the shower. Had to park 2 blocks away because the parking outback was nonexistent and had to pay $45. Would never stay here again. Forgot to take photos before I left.

So i will start by addressing the elaphant in the room, Yes the hotel is old....very old. However it is NOT dirty! Ive stayed here twice now. It is the perfect place for a cheap stay down by the boardwalk, especially if you plan on eating out ! Now if you're a person who thinks this 50$ a night hotel should be like the 4 seasons this is not the place for you. The rooms do have fridges though. The gentleman that runs the front desk is very sweet, the maid staff is very nice as well. The room, bathroom etc were all clean. Fresh linens ( that smelled so good btw) haha. It might not have central A/C but their window units had me FREEZING! in the best way possible. They also have a front and back deck with chairs and tables to smoke, eat or just relax. Lots of people talked down on this place but it genuinely isn't that bad. The rooms a little run down but it was clean. The bathroom was normal sized and overall it was a good experience. Parking around back does cost $15 though but the room itself wasn't overly expensive so I didn't mind paying it and to be honest if you come to ocean city EVERYWHERE you have to pay for parking and its hourly. On accessibility its not accessible for disabled people to get to the main hotel you have to climb up steps and the room itself is quite small with narrow pathways and a small bathroom. To be fair I didnt see the whole property either.
