Super 8 by Wyndham Weslaco

This is an older hotel but very nice. My room is extremely clean and they have taken care of anything that I needed assistance with. I’m also recovering from surgery on my back and needed an accessible room. They made sure to accommodate my need for grab bars and even made sure they had me on the first floor. Vanessa is awesome at the front desk and Chris The chef makes a fantastic breakfast at a very fair price.

This hotel is located in the perfect spot, it’s almost like being right in the middle of town, it’s within driving distance to many enjoyable restaurants, and shopping centers. Hospitals and parks! The guy Edgar at front desk waved my pet fees after a misunderstanding through my online booking. So that was so helpful. Thank you to all the staff here. It was a great stay. Oh also my kids loved the Christmas decorations and they hope to see more add ons next year!

Positive: Staff were friendly and helpful. Negative: OMG everything. Had this not been a non-refundable room, I would have left immediately after entering. Very old and outdated; need of paint, etc. Linens were not looking clean. I used a blouse as a pillowcase and left it there for fear of bugs.

I come to the area for dental work and had booked online with another property prior to this one and was so disappointed in the first property that I literally just left in the middle of the night and came to super eight and I’m so glad that I did. The lady work in the front desk overnight the check me in was wonderful and Edgar on the dayshift has been phenomenal and helping me with my booking and anything else that has been needed and I have found my new permanent hotel that I will use every time that I’m in the area! Such a relief!! The bed is amazing so much that I don’t want to even get out of it lol which is important to me because I travel for an entire day to get here so I’m exhausted when I do arrive. The staff is incredible. They go above and beyond- are friendly, kind and professional. Rose was super sweet as was the woman who checked in. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms are a bit older but they are doing their best to keep them in the best shape as possible given the age. Walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor’s TV as if you are in the same room.
