Super 8 by Wyndham Walnut Creek

Positive: Left after check in Heater in room did not work, we asked for a refund after 35 min argument with horrible they refunded my credit card, we went down the street to the Marriott Negative: They were dealing drugs in the hotel rooms

Place has changed drastically in a year. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Dirty rooms. Walls covered in whatever has been thrown or splashed upon them. Cockroach crawling acrossed the office floor while I waited for a plunger because the toilet was broken. Literally broken. Handle fell apart. Seat almost came off. Burn marks all over the bathtub with some questionable residue.

I’ve stayed at other Wyndham properties before, but this was my first time at Super 8 Wyndham in Walnut Creek. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.||Our room had a strong cigarette odor from the moment we arrived until checkout. Even the bathroom, AC, and exhaust fan carried the smell. At times, we could also smell weed right outside our door.||The booking site advertised free WiFi and breakfast included with the stay, but neither was offered. When I asked the front desk, I was simply told, “We don’t do that here,” even though it was clearly stated online.||There were barely enough towels provided, and the security latch on our door was broken. I’ve previously stayed here and have always had a positive experience! The staff is exceptional. The new manager is particularly approachable and considerate, ensuring that all guests are well cared for. The housekeeping team is consistently courteous, and I’ve never encountered any problems. If you happen to misplace something, they promptly take it to the front desk and notify guests about forgotten items. They actively reach out to inform clients if they leave belongings behind. Safety is a top priority here, making it a great choice for both business travelers and families. If you’re searching for a place to stay, I highly recommend this location. It’s very convenient, with everything you need nearby, and BART is just a short walk away!

First room I got smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Second room just the same. Both had leaking bath tubs, one which had standing water. The other hand a damaged grate on the air conditioning unit. While not a reflection of the hotel, other guests were outside, with open doors smoking and playing rather loud music. While the location does seem very accessible and the front desk agent was incredibly nice in each interaction, I had to go find a new hotel.
