Residence Inn by Marriott Walnut Creek

The lady at reception has no idea of what she doing and messed up our billing. I very specifically said at front when check in of what card to and charge all expenses to my Marriott card that already on the record and somehow still all charged wrong!!!!!!!!!!!! Location is good but mandatory use valet $35 per day, just ridiculous since that’s not even in the SF city or anything, and ridiculous expensive if u stay long period. Stuff not very good, only nice people are the breakfast buffet lady! Room and everything else is ok, but messed up my billing definitely takes me to the edge especially I said everything very clear and upfront!!!

Clean and the hotel situated in a nice and safe area. Have a Target nearby. About ten minutes walk to the BART station. There is a Vietnamese restaurant opposite to the hotel which serves hot noodles if needed !

Not What It Once Was I stayed here in 2024, and it was practically newly renovated and everything was great. I don't know what changed, but this time around everything has sucked except the valet. The valet guys are awesome. My reason for low ratings: The front desk offered us an "exceptional" view. Translation: we were put in a room smaller than the one from our previous trip. The view was a parking lot. The shower was dirty. No biggie. We requested a new room and were moved. Everything was fine. THEN Hotel rooms are cleaned every other day. One time a maid never showed up so let me say every other day to once every 3 days. Well, on an expected day, the maid cleaned the room. Ok. Be careful of the room location. Some rooms are situated very close to the BART train and you will hear it in The late hours of the night and in the early morning. I have stayed at this location Several times, however this was the first time they put me next to the BART train tracks. That will never happen again!

Checked all of my boxes except for a couple because of Covid regulations Overall very nice hotel. PROS: -lobby area was very nice and had a market with good alternative options for snacks/food - studio room was spacious with a very nice kitchen and granite counter tops. Very clean and had a large desk perfect for work activity -pool was closed, but looked very nice. -gym was one of the better hotel gyms I’ve seen.
