Holiday Inn Express Walnut Creek by IHG

Check-in was a positive experience—the front desk staff on shift were friendly, personable, and welcoming. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of my stay. The hotel was quite noisy, particularly at night, which made it difficult to rest. The room, especially the bathroom, is in significant need of updates/repairs. Housekeeping only serviced my room once during my stay, and that was only after I specifically requested it; at no point did I have a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. There also appeared to be a system update or technical issue that caused multiple billing errors. As a result, my corporate card was charged several times, creating an unnecessary, and frustrating situation. When I checked out, the supervisor on duty provided poor customer service, and did little to help resolve

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check-in process was quick and the room was clean and as described the amenities, including the breakfast and the gel were a nice addition as well as convenient locations around the property like a local gym and a local restaurant. so it’s easy to find things that you need well as walking distance from stores. there’s plenty of parking for guests, but there is not a lot of parking for anyone else. and they are very strict about the parking and where you park.

The hotel is under construction so has potential. I was just shocked by all the traffic and congestion in the area. Never lightens up? The windows are singled paned which makes the rooms cold and damp even with the loud heater running. The staff did their best with friendliness. I must admit it is a very clean facility. Also there is a parking fee that is not mentioned until registration. All and all it was sufficient for what was needed.

The hotel is very nice and my room was perfectly clean and looked comfortable. Unfortunately, I was forced to leave after a little more than an hour because the room had a very strong perfume-like scent that made me feel ill. I didn’t even have time to sit on the bed. I was charged $160 for that one hour.

I stayed here for 10 days. Initially, I was placed in a room on the side of the building where the Wi-Fi was essentially unusable. I called the front desk and was moved to a first-floor, more central room near the lobby, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi signal was still very unreliable, slightly better when the hotel was less full, but largely unusable on weekends. I often had to work from nearby coffee shops instead. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, though the breakfast was good and font desk staff were generally helpful. Special shout to the man who takes care of the breakfast area daily, he is very attentive and and extremely hard working guy. Parking is available but costs an additional $15 per night, which is worth noting. Just note, I always felt like I couldn’t get
