Super 8 by Wyndham Van Horn

Choose anywhere but this place. We are not very picky travelers. We simply needed a safe place to sleep for the night after our truck broke down just outside of town while towing our RV. We called ahead to check availability and pet policies, and since Super 8 had reasonable pricing, allowed pets, and was conveniently located next to McDonald’s, it seemed like a good option. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. When we entered our first room, the top door lock was loose and appeared as though the door had previously been kicked in, which made it feel very unsafe. I returned to the front desk and requested another room, explaining the security concern. Sadly, things only got worse from there. We were moved a total of three times, and each room was in poorer condition

The staff were nice and the room clean. It was right next to the freeway so it was a little bit noisy but not too bad, not enough to disturb my sleep. Breakfast was simple, coffee available, cereal and yogurt but there's a McDonald's right next door. Easy on and off Highway 10.

Don't waste your money. Room was dirty TV didn't work, blow-dryer didn't work. We felt dirty after taking a shower. The door would hit the toilet when you opened it. We could not get out of there fast enough the next morning. The young lady behind the deck was very efficient. That is about the only good thing I can say about this hotel.

Top tier Super 8. Nightly rate was very reasonable, quick access to and from I10 (especially if you are going east bound thanks to the frontage road), plenty of parking, and check-in process was quick and easy. This is a motel, not a hotel, room door opens to the parking lot, no centralized connected lobby. The room smelled like cleaning products, flooring and bathroom looks recently remodeled. I absolutely hate carpet flooring in motels, and I was excited to see a mix of vinyl tile flooring installed throughout. Everything was clean, and everything worked as it should. Bed was comfortable, shower had great hot water pressure. McDonald's and truck stop next door. My room was in the front, facing the road, and highway noise was minimal. Google says it's a 2 star hotel but they offer 5 star service! I will be back next time I drive from TX to CA on a round trip and rest here for both ways. I was stranded on I10 during the recent snow storm. Sat still for over 5 hours. My truck ended up breaking down. Lost my idler pully and serpentine belt...no power steering, no alternator, no water pump but somehow I made it. I was able to limp over to here and barely made it into a spot that wasn't technically a parking space. They said "no problem!" I walked into the lobby, freezing, asked to check in early and they put me in a room right next to my truck and made it happen with open arms. They cleaned the room on the spot for me and I honestly couldn't believe how accommodating they were especially considering the extremely competitiv
