Hampton Inn Van Horn

My husband and I travel quite often since we retired. First the good; very clean, looks new, and very friendly staff. There were only 2 drawbacks of our stay. Room 108. The mattress was like a rock. Not firm, I like a firm mattress. It was a rock. The walls were not as sound proof as I am accustomed to in a Hampton. We heard room 110 cough all night.

I was very disappointed in this property. While it was clean and the breakfast offered a variety of options, we experienced a lot of noise in our first floor room from the hallway. At about 5:30 in the morning, I was awakened by noise from the ice machine at the end of the hallway. It sounded as though someone was filling an ice chest from the machine for quite some time. Based on that annoyance, I didn't feel that the quality of the property justified the room rate.|I would recommend requesting a room on an upper floor away from the elevation and ice machine.

Positive: Clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. Staff checked us in and really went well above and beyond to get us a ground floor room. The elevator was out of commission and we would not have been able to carry everything to an upper floor. Negative: ""

The property looks in great condition and the room was super clean. We always check on the sheets and these ones were all clean. Breakfast was very good, eggs and sausages 💪🏽.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A big plus is the laundry room — much cheaper compared to other hotels, which was really appreciated during a longer trip. The indoor pool area was great, especially the jacuzzi. The water temperature was higher than expected, making it very relaxing and comfortable. Overall, a very good and convenient place to stay. We would happily choose this hotel again.
