Super 8 by Wyndham The Dalles OR

I was traveling up the Columbia Gorge on a long trip home to Idaho and needed a place to get some sleep before continuing home. What a great surprise, this Super 8 was way better than I expected, Very clean room with nice furnishings and nice staff. Getting there late a young lady named Diana got me checked in Fast, Friendly and efficiently. Thank you for a great stay.

Pillows like microscopic bricks and rooms with more noise than the Vegas strip. Beds have less comfort than the sidewalk. Breakfast is a waffle machine or wrapped boiled eggs. Thankfully it was one night. Wouldn’t book again.

My son & I stayed at Super 8 at the Dalles, Oregon from August 10-11, front office was friendly & helpful. I requested a room on the ground floor, because I am over 65, I got one close to the exit. The room was clean, we got a good night sleep, we had no problem.

The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean, but there were quite a few inconveniences. The elevators were out of service, and with my knee problems, walking up three flights of stairs was tough. The microwave was difficult to plug in, and the clock in the room wasn’t set. On the plus side, the A/C worked well, and the shower pressure was great. However, there was only one set of towels, and my room key didn’t work for the side door. The area has a high homeless population, which made me a bit uneasy at night. The room itself was a bit outdated, and I wish there had been an end table on my side of the bed. I’ll be checking out the free breakfast in the am no coffee pot in the room but have microwave and frig

Positive: When located it was behind Fred Meyers Grocery Store -- it was convenient to a number of places to eat and easy to get back to the freeway Negative: The breakfast was not very good -- very disappointed about that
