Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites The Dalles

Don’t hesitate to book a room at this little gem if you’re in the area! We were on a road trip and planned to stay in Hood River but prices were through the roof. I’m glad we made a detour though. From the moment you enter the hotel, it’s a great experience. Very cozy lobby with a large breakfast area, 24/7 drinks. Wonderful staff. Nice rooms, comfy beds. Microwave and fridge, all amenities in the bathroom (just a small bottle of body lotion though). Additional sink next to the bathroom is very convenient when traveling with family. Good breakfast with surprisingly fresh and tasty muffins. Plenty of quality fresh fruit available. Loved the normal reusable dishes vs plastic. My only complaint would be that breakfast area was too cold, we had to finish breakfast on the room. Guest laundry

New remodel. We asked for a room on the third floor facing the mountains and enjoyed the view. The ladies at the front desk were especially helpful.||There is a restaurant about a block away that is easily walkable. The food is fine. And it’s so nice not to have to get back in the car.||It was calming to be able to sit beside the fire pit and enjoy the sunset. Very friendly management here. Their attitude is to make the guest as comfortable as possible.||The room right here is higher than in other hotels in the area, but we wanted something we could count on. It was well worth it to us.||Only complaint with the new room design is that they’re using the air conditioners with the sensors that “know” when you’re in the room. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn The Dalles for a few days while my husband and sons were taking kite surfing lessons in Lyle, Washington. We wanted to use our points and this was the closest Marriott hotel. We got two rooms and ended up staying 3 nights. The rooms were sparkling clean and the beds were very comfortable. We have traveled all over the world and slept in a ton of hotels and these beds were above average and gave us a great nights rest. Pillows were adequate as well, and towels were quality without being scratchy. The rooms were also very quiet which is really a plus. Breakfast was good (although carb heavy), but was nicely stocked with many items. We did not use the pool or gym, but did enjoy the firepit outback each morning while we sipped our coffee. Stayed here during our time in Oregon visiting the Columbia River Gorge. Beautiful, safe, clean location with friendly and helpful staff. Comes with free breakfast and free parking.

Clean rooms, nice and quiet hotel. Nice area to take the dog out to potty. Pet room didnt smell bad like pet rooms in other hotels. Easy affordable laundry that takes card. Friendly staff. Video monitored parking for vehicle safety. The only thing i will note is although the room was clean there was trash leftover inside the trash hin from the previous guest.
