Cousins' Country Inn

I rarely do reviews however this place is worth mentioning. It is conveniently located off the freeway. Stayed one night and requested a quiet room which indeed it was. And the room must have been well insulated that I didn't need the heater on all night. Having a restaurant onsite was also a plus after driving all day. The fresh baked cookies and coffee offered in the lobby was the perfect ending to my day. I had to leave early the next day therefore didnt get to take advantage of the breakfast coupon they provided. Having stayed at quite a few places while traveling, you come to appreciate any special touches, getting an actual quiet room and friendly staff. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good night's rest. Thank you!

We ate in the bar today. It has been maybe a year since we have been there. This bar has always been a favorite stop with tasty food, great drinks and a value. Today the turkey dinner was not the best (stuffing was hard). And the basic burger was overdone & greasy. So disappointed as this was always a favorite stop. Not sure what happened.

To start - excellent, professional reception staff. Very nice room; spacious, clean. Comfortable bed. We ate at the bar at their adjoining restaurant. Bartender with a good sense of humor. The coconut shrimp appetizer was yummy. The star of the show were the delicious ribs. Good sauce. Would definitely recommend if you are in The Dalles.

Stayed in a vaulted ceiling room with a fireplace. The room was clean and met expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site that had great breakfast food. If you stay at the hotel they will give you a discount on their breakfast. The location was great for trying to stay on the cheaper side while visiting hood river. The drive to hood river was only 18 minutes which allows for a nice view of the columbia river while you are driving. I would definitely recommend driving highway 30 for some of the best views I've ever seen. If you are not visiting hood river, there were plenty of fun things to do nearby and the hotel was close to grocery stores, food and the Dalles main street. The only con I have is that the walls of the room were fairly thin and
