Super 8 by Wyndham St. Augustine

For a class 2-star hotel, it was nice! Slightly overpriced in my opinion. But the room was clean. Staff was polite! Breakfast was cereal, muffins, yogurt and fruit. Location was great for a stop-over stay. They offer first responders discounts as well!

Rooms need to be cleaned, shower was dirty, floor dirty, dust monkeys on the walls. For a smoke free hotel there was a lot of pot smoking going on. And noisy. I would not recommend this hotel at this time. Checked out a day early, the clerk told us she could not control who smokes and who does not. Kathleen P

We had originally booked at a hotel next door. The gentleman at the desk discouraged me due to the fact they had booked us in a smoking room. We went here and the woman at the desk was very accomodating getting us a room. This place needs a lot of TLC however. It is very old! The pictures on line are nothing like what you get. At least it was quiet.

Recently stayed at the Super 8 hotel and found the overall experience disappointing. The rooms were decent in terms of size and basic amenities, but I noticed cockroaches, which raised cleanliness concerns. The doors and window slides were very old and clearly in need of repair, adding to the worn-out feel of the place. The location is another drawback - it’s quite far from St. Augustine downtown attractions and the beaches, making it inconvenient if you plan to explore the city. Breakfast was mentioned as included, but it turned out to be more of a mirage. All they had were a few cupcakes and cereals, with no real variety or hot options available. Overall, it’s an average budget stay.
