Super 8 by Wyndham Pittsburgh PA Airport/University Area

Upon check in, rate charged was different then rate booked online. Front Desk changed rate and apologized. Staff was friendly and tried everything to make stay acceptable. Hallway smells of smoke and pot even though no smoking signs every where. No bed bugs! Hot water! Bed comfy but sheets/blankets had some stains. TV Remote wasn't paired to TV and did not work. Floor was sticky and gross; Very noisy between floors (ask for top floor if you have to stay and want quiet); Bottom floor is rented for long term stays. Room and bathroom need deep cleaning, could have potential if done Some drywall work was done to update lights but left unfinished.

The room was dirty. The sheets did not appear to have been washed after the previous occupants. The ac was shut off when I entered the room and the room was very hot. It took a long time to get the room cooled down. There was screaming and a possible fight. I called the police. The hotel staff ignored it.

Absolutely do not recommend, made myself extremely uncomfortable while checking in was told to flip the light switch by the door to have electricity, got into the room and it was disgusting, the tub was different colors, it was dusty and generally gross. When I went to check out they tried to argue they couldn’t refund me for the rest of the stay. Do not recommend at all. I did not feel safe, you can hear other people in their rooms, the parking lot had empty beer cans all over and the place was generally questionable.

Positive: Location Negative: The room was awful. The second room offered was worse and exacerbated my allergies to the point it was difficult to breathe after being in it a few minutes. The refrigerator really smelled badly and they didn't care. Man in charge of housekeeping horrible

If you just need a decent bed and a hot shower, you’ll be fine here. It’s dingy and not the most clean but there’s no bugs. For a cheap nights stay, overall was not a bad experience. The lady at the front desk was extremely hard to understand.
