Super 8 by Wyndham Park Rapids

In December my sister and I were visiting the area and had a reservation at a different motel. It was snowing, windy and very cold out. When we went to check in, the keypad was not working, no onsite staff and unable to get into room. This led us to the Super 8. The evening desk staff A+++, and turned the end our visiting experience at Park Rapids into a positive. The rooms were clean rooms and there was 24 hour coffee and tea available.

No-frills, spotlessly clean hotel that does as much as possible with what they have, despite what they *don't* have, i.e., no pool, no workout room, no fancy area for a big morning breakfast. But they DO SERVE a little breakfast, and it's not bad (waffle station, some kind of main dish like a breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy), toast, cereals, yogurt, fruit. One of the best things was the personable young woman who checked us in, Kim, who gave us good suggestions on places to eat, had a friendly greeting every evening when we returned, and in general made us feel like we were special guests. After a horrible experience at the Rustic Inn the front desk person was so welcoming & accommodating. Room fee is budget friendly, the room was clean & warm.

Great place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful with information. Room was very clean. |We actually opened the window for some fresh air in the morning. Breakfast was good as well. We missed out on the biscuits and gravy, but the waffles and breakfast sandwich’s were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.
