Wambolts Cabins

We had such a great time meeting Anne and James. They are very kind hosts. We loved the cabin we stayed in. It was clean and very comfortable. The screened in porch right on the lake was such a peaceful place to relax. It was so nice using the sauna, boating, listening to the loons, walking the hiking trails and relaxing. So many different things to do and a very special place to do it. The history of the camp is very unique, and it was so nice to stay in a "real" cabin. We had car trouble when we were there, and Anne and James were very kind and helpful; they made us comfortable and helped us with whatever we needed to get our car back. Our time at Wambolts was very comfortable and relaxing and we will definitely return for another stay. In this busy world that we live it was so

Old time resort with tons of character. The cabins look like they could be from a museum, and I mean that as a compliment. We actually stayed in the containers, because it looked unique, but in hindsight I think I'd go for one of the lincoln log looking cabins. The lake was nice, only half developed, though you had to walk a long way out before the water got over you knees. The owners were extremely friendly. We stayed over Memorial Day, when the resort was largely empty, so not sure what a busy week would be like. The solar boat was fun to cruise around in and the sauna worked better than I would have guessed. The grounds were well taken care of. We really appreciated the free EV charger. Garbage disposal was inconvenient. Park Rapids area is nice. Not so commercial like Brainerd area. An

Was such a relaxing and peaceful get away for our anniversary. The log cabins were very homey feeling. They dont have firepits as they are literally right on the lake but they do have an awesome Solostove rental which is like a personal firepit. They also have a Sauna which is relaxing. Definitely coming back!!!

My family has been spending time at the cabins for many years so they have a very special place in my heart! Anne and James and their family have worked so hard to restore these historic and beautiful cabins. They have done a wonderful job and turned this resort back into a welcoming family resort with so many things to do! You can't beat the views of the lake and all the wildlife from the large enclosed porches. We have so enjoyed our visits and hope to be back in the future!

Hi - Sara and I enjoyed our stay sat your resort. We know the area since our family lives near by. Our experience in the bathroom and shower wasn't the best. The shower moved around so we felt unsafe and didn't use it. the day bed in the entry was enjoyed by us and the beach as well. All the kitchen appliances worked along with the quiet setting by the lake was great. The walks on the property worked for us too. Our neighbors were Minnesota nice! Thank you and have a good season in 2025.
