Bear Paw Resort

Hello from the Cassidy Family! We have been to Bear Paw Resort for a couple of years now. We are so happy to have found this hidden gem! We love the fact that this resort is smaller and more intimate. The owners make everyone feel welcomed, take pride in keeping it family oriented, as well as safe and comfortable for their guests. It is clean, well taken care of, and peaceful. Our kids love swimming at the beach, fishing, and just jumping from cabin to cabin saying hello to family. Bear Paw has helped us to create beautiful and lasting memories for our children, which is priceless. We definitely recommend you taking a trip up North to experience this place.

Cabin had everything we needed for a multi couples trip. Doug was a fantastic host and makes amazing cinnamon rolls! We had a wonderful trip and added bonus--these Texans got to experience the beginning of fall while we were there!

After 60 years at a different MN resort, our family had our first experience at Bear Paw, and it was most excellent. We rented 7 cabins for a week with over 50 family members ages newborn to 88. Doug and his wife Ruthann were so friendly and welcoming. Everything was CLEAN and in great working condition, and we are so happy to have found a new "home" for our annual family gathering. The kids had the best time fishing off the docks, and had good success. Our family was able to secure an 8th cabin for next year's stay, and in the car on the way home, we talked about the fact that there were only 364 more days until we return. Been coming to this area for 35 years. Had to find a new resort this year as the other sold out privately. Absolutely 100% satisfied! Great fishing or pleasure lake. Not busy. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The cabins are updated and very clean. The lodge was a great amenity with pizza and wings and ice cream along with games etc. Nice couple of beaches and a large amount of dock space! We already booked for next year like over 90% of people do. Doug was almost always there and had answers or solutions to every need.

Bear Paw was everything we hoped it would be. It was relaxed, comfortable, and the perfect size. We all had space but it felt cozy. We loved that it wasn't fancy, but that all our needs were met. The cabins were well-stocked and spacious. The grounds and surroundings were beautiful and there were a zillion things to do. All ages enjoyed the lake - fishing from the docks, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and boating. We played basketball, shuffleboard, and horseshoes and had a bocci tournament. The kids rode bikes and scooters around the circle. Golfers in our family walked across the street to the 9-hole course. Doug was fabulous. Always available to help and there just to sit and talk.
