Super 8 by Wyndham Old Saybrook

This is a real and honest review. This is the best place in town to stay over. I have stayed here a few times, and my stay is always perfect. Raj, the Manager at the front desk is so kind and professional. He helped me find the perfect room for my needs each time I was staying. The rooms are very clean. Beds are ultra clean and so very comfy. Smells like a freshly cleaned room every time. Non-smoking rooms are actually non smoking, unlike other nearby hotels. You get a great value, great rooms, very quiet and so close to everything. Do not listen to the negative reviews. This is the best place to stay. Also, housekeeping is very nice and they make the room super clean everytime. I recommend this Super 8 to all of my friends, and anyone who reads this. Thank you so much Super 8 Old Saybrook

Worst place I’ve ever stayed, atrocious staff. Bathroom smelled like weed and cigarettes the whole stay. A man came to our door at 9 in the morning screaming and threatening people and staff was nowhere to be found. That was the same morning of check out and I forgot my wallet in the lobby, returned to get it about 3 hours after and was told we were being charged 150$ (100$ if I paid cash, clearly a scam) for the smell that was there when we checked in. Wouldn’t give me my wallet till I paid. It was given back after my girlfriend told them it was basically theft.

We stayed at Super 8 in August. Frankly, I cannot believe this hotel has any positive reviews. When we arrived, the front desk staff wanted to change our reservation from a queen size bed to a full size bed because "housekeeping was slow." When we got to our room, it smelled terrible. The bedding was not clean, there were hairs in the blankets. The bathroom was atrocious. The shower curtain was white with several stains, the floor, countertop, and bathtub were not clean. There were bugs EVERYWHERE. The water pressure was terrible. On the second day of our stay, our door stopped working. The front desk staff indicated that there must have been an error and our keys were only programmed for one night. We walked back to our room to find that the keys still did not work. Gotta say this is by far the best place to rest your head and get good night's sleep. I'll never go to another. This is the only place where they actually care about their customers and always a warm welcome feeling. Trust my words you would not regret staying here. Found my second home from home.

The manager of this establishment has been absolutely fantastic! I had an issue with a 3rd party booking and they themselves gave me and issue, B heard all of it and called them herself and took time out of her busy schedule to get it taken care of, and on top of all that she had already done to take stress off of mine and my husband's shoulders she gave a discount on the 2nd night due to the issue with the 3rd party and made our mini vacation happen for the amount of time that we intended..I cant say enough good things about Bijal..thank you so much for being amazing..you have made us very happy The rooms are very nice and the bed is comfortable also Raj was extremely helpful haha I had to add that vinyl as when we were going through everything he happened to make me giggle...THANK YOU GU
