Quality Inn Old Saybrook - Westbrook

This is an older property, and the exterior in particular is in need of serious attention. However, once inside, things improved. The lobby and pool areas both seemed to have received recent attention, and the room itself had a fairly new mattress and had undergone some renovation in the bathroom. What stood out, though, was the courtesy of Jennifer and other staff at the front desk. They were friendly and attentive. Keep making those improvements -- this hotel isn't as shabby as its exterior makes it appear.

For a Quality Inn this is one of the better places to stay. Excellent morning breakfast usual choices but extras one day western omelette- sausage- scrambled eggs. Next day pancakes - fried eggs.Kept full fresh attendant was Excellent! Full indoor pool! I know it says a fitness room but none of the equipment works! Ice machine is another issue only one that works is on third floor-first and second floor ones broken! Rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. Staff at desk was very helpful with directions when my GPS conked out. Highly recommended hotel need to add SAFETY BARS in handicapped accessible rooms! Unable to access bathtub/ shower! No bars no shower “wand” to use. Washing in bathroom was only way!

Excellent location! Hotel is clean and safe. Very good breakfast choices not only usual cold but hot also.Staff keeps it full and fresh! Front desk staff very helpful and accommodating! Indoor pool very nice even used by Neighborhood residents for swim lessons! They are updating rooms and have installed an updated room keys system. Manager makes sure on a personal level that all guests are enjoying their stay and is very helpful for any guests needs Highly recommended hotel and definitely will return

Katherine was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind and understanding during our stay. We were in Old Saybrook for a wedding, but I had suffered an injury right beforehand and needed a walk-in shower. Katherine went above and beyond to accommodate us, making sure we had exactly what we needed to feel comfortable. The room itself was spotless, and the bathroom looked newly remodeled and beautiful. It made such a difference during our stay. There was also a lovely restaurant nearby, which was a great bonus and added to the overall experience. We’re incredibly grateful for Katherine’s help and couldn’t recommend this place more!

Reasonable price, clean and quiet room, friendly and helpful front desk. Large variety of breakfast choices. Hallway and room could be repainted and updated. Also, while the room looked clean, it would have been reassuring to have high contact items (tv remote, phone) either in recyclable/reusable plastic baggie or have alcohol wipes next to them. Speaking of recycling, i was disappointed that there weren't recycling bins anywhere. At breakfast I asked for a recycling bin to dispose of a plastic cup and was told that you don't recycle anything.
