Super 8 by Wyndham Defuniak Springs

You get what you pay for and this was better than I paid for imo. It was about $70 for the night - two queen beds. Very clean, clean beds with NO bugs, nice tv, clean bathroom, pleasant man who checked us in. We checked in at midnight and we (two women) felt very safe. This is NOT luxury. You are staying at a super 8. If you want something fancy, there are nicer hotels for more money in the area. For what you’re paying for, this is great. One con- The heat was not great, but it did work. Tbh for the amount of times you have to use the heat in FL - I was very forgiving that heat wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t too cold. I’m sure if I would have asked, the man would have changed our room for us. Travelers - there are NOT a lot of food choices after 10-11pm. Whataburger is open 24 hours though 😅

I really wish I had a better experience here, but this stay was extremely disappointing. I woke up covered in bed bug bites, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel. On top of that, several basic amenities didn’t work ...t he microwave and fridge were both broken, which was frustrating because I brought premade meals to save money, specifically choosing a room that advertised working appliances. The heat didn’t work on a cold, rainy night, making the room very uncomfortable. The linens were dingy and did not feel clean or well-maintained. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I hope management addresses these issues immediately so future guests don’t go through the same thing. One would expect a lot more out of a major motel chain....

Excellent hotel for the price. Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly. Room was nice. They actually had a good working bathtub, which is rare nowadays.||In the big scheme of things I would call this a quite good hotel. But with ratings inflation giving it 4 stars would be a disservice. And compared to other hotels, including other hotels in the same chain, I feel this one stands out. They even have a working pool. I don’t use them, but when I had young children they would have appreciated it.

Positive: Nothing!Rude owner or supervisor. Nauseous attitude! Negative: Everything I did not like!Bugs, smelly blanket, haven?t been washed. Dingy linen. My room wasn?t clean, same sheets on my bed throughout my stay there. I bought my ow towels and washcloths etc. the floor was never swept or clean. The tub wasn?t washed.

Stayed rm 109, Dec 23!, 24, 25. 2025.Heater did not work. I was cold at night. Roaches and rust in microwave and no tissues in the box on wall. Very rusted.no breakfast. Sign on door said office under maintenance but nothing was going on.
