Econo Lodge Defuniak Springs I-10

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on our recent experience. Here’s why:||Upon check-in, the reservation system did not carry over my Priceline booking details, so I had to provide all my information again. The staff member assisting us was kind, but that was the only positive aspect of our stay.||Cleanliness was a significant issue from the start. When I moved a chair to access the air conditioning unit, I found trash and soggy cigarette butts underneath—clear evidence the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. The refrigerator also had visible spills left from previous guests, and one of the pillows had a yellow stain. In the bathroom, the toilet paper roll was nearly empty, and there were no replacement rolls available.||Despite trying to be understanding—perhaps housekeep

Room 136 is the room we had this time. We stayed here a year ago and it was not this bad. The room wasn't clean, literally had fake eyelashes on the counter and a dirty sink from where it wouldn't drain. The towels seemed dirty as well. The front door has a hole in it, that you can see sunlight through. The bathroom door is absolutely ripped up by a dog on the back side (with a dog toy behind the toilet). The bathtub had a huge crack where water is leaking under the tub and will eventually create a mess. For fun, there was no toilet paper, but thankfully I had brought a roll from home. Also, the added bonus of roaches was un-nerving...to say the least. The best thing about the room? The tv and fridge worked.

The rooms were big and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the large bathroom and the grip bars in the handicapped room. The location is extremely convenient and close to restaurants and other businesses. Staff were very polite ,nice and helpful. I do wish you had a pool and a free continental breakfast,but other than that I did love the motel and definitely would consider staying there again.

When I booked this stay I didn’t have high expectations, but this hotel fell short in more ways than I could imagine. I drove over 6 hours to get to the hotel, so when I arrived all I wanted to do was relax, but I wasn’t able to due to the condition of the hotel. On arrival, I had to check in at a window on the outside of the lobby since they had the lobby locked to guests. Once I got to my room and opened the door, I was overwhelmed by the smell of mold. The air conditioning was turned off, so the room was humid and hot, which just amplified the moldy smell. I took a look around the room and once I got to the bathroom I noticed the entire wall was covered in mold. I had to drive to the store and get cleaning supplies just to be able to stay in the room, since I am highly allergic to mold

Very good staff...price was great...best of sll they used NO terrible smelling deoderizer that lots of places seem to like but those make many people sick and are prabably no good for your health. Was a really good stay and ALL places should be as good as yours. Thanks so much. This is a true review !
