Super 8 by Wyndham Crescent City

Positive: Had a laundromat ( 1 washer & dryer) it was nice not having to look for a laundromat outside as I only need to do 1Load Negative: When we came down to get coffee, they were all out, no Milk, waffle mix out. I ring twice before someone came and I told them about it. They did get everything filled up. As it was only 8 am you would think they keep an eye on it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of my room and the comfortable bed. This is a spacious roadside stop. Not fancy, but more than adequate for a night by the beach in Crescent City. Hot running water, great shower head, spacious shower, sink that drains, toilet that flushes and fresh linen sheets.

Stay anywhere but here. Bed bugs. Rude staff. Poor maintenance. There are several hotels in this area but we chose this one based on our positive Super 8 experience in Fort Bragg the night before. This was not a place I would ever return to. I am not a picky person but this place was terrible.

Check the responses to all of the reviews left on this page. They are obviously AI generated. That is a great example of the attitude of the proprietor, who does not care. He was sarcastic and rude, and the rooms smell like cigarette smoke. Looking forward to a reply that summarizes my complaints and assures me the hotel will make significant improvements, signed “Hotel Manager”.

Pay a little more and stay somewhere else. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The room itself was very disappointing, noisy from being right next to the road, a stained and uncomfortable mattress, flies everywhere, and even hair in the freezer. The bathroom wasn’t clean, with mold around the toilet and shower curtain. Breakfast was minimal, but at least there was something offered. Overall, this was not a pleasant stay and I would not recommend it.
