Super 8 by Wyndham Cortez/Mesa Verde Area

Positive: That room was a nice room and it was clean Negative: The TV didn’t work. The towels were old and used, and there was no breakfast and there was no one at the front of the hotel to talk to about fixing the problem.

This place is completely bad! They advertise breakfast and that’s not the case. The guest laundry room does not work. The rooms are not up to par, clogged sinks, toilets that not work and iffy hot water. I had a leak outside my room all week. There are homeless people roaming around and drugs being sold out of there. There are signs on the parking lot warning about personal belongings in the cars. I moved a couple of valuable tools in to my room and when I checked out I forgot them and called right away and got a response two days later saying that they were not there. This place is a bad place to stay! Bad service, full of homeless people all around, bad rooms!

I recently stayed at this super 8 in cortez…when I arrived on Friday evening there was no one at the front desk. Waited 15-20 minutes to get checked in…a bit frustrating when u want to begin your vacation but doable. Dogs are allowed to stay…which was nice . I brought my two dogs. On Sunday morning I stepped out of the room to take my dogs out quick before meeting someone for breakfast at 730 am. I left my phone and car keys inside the room as I was stepping out very quickly. when I went to go back in my room the room key wouldn’t work. So I went to the front desk to get a new key. No one was there…and I waited and waited and waited. Nobody. I even searched the hotel for staff and went back to check my key…which still wasn’t working…couldn’t find anybody to let me in my room. It is older but our room was clean and comfy. It's a stopover and just needed a place to sleep. Staff was very nice and welcoming. There was no breakfast but it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The place was not clean. The floor was not mopped for a while and so the floors were sticky while walking. The bathroom has spider in it. Complementary breakfast was cancelled for a while due to license issue but was still listed as available while booking. We were not informed during the check-in time as well.
