Quality Inn near Mesa Verde

We thought we booked a room with one king bed. The room we got had two double beds. When we arrived, the toilet seat was removed from the bowl and was resting sideways on top of the bowl. We had to attach it ourselves, but it was still very loose and wobbly. Seriously? No lid on the toilet bowl? The night desk person gave us a whopping $5.00 off our total bill for having to attach our toilet seat! The room smelled very strongly of chemicals. It was difficult to sleep, and impossible to believe that smelling those chemicals all night long was healthy for us. No way would we ever stay at this motel again. We were traveling through and just needed a clean place to lay our heads. We got to Quality Inn at 10:05pm and learned their lobby closed at 10:00. We found the kiosk around the corner and went to make a reservation. The online kiosk lady was nice. It did take 20-minutes to make the reservation. We found our room to be basic, but clean. It is an older property, but our room had recently been renovated. There is no rack to hang clothes. We had a fridge and microwave. The kiosk receipt showed that breakfast started at 6:00am, however, it actually does not open until 6:30. For breakfast, there was cereal, breads, sausage links, eggs, hash browns, yogurt and oatmeal . Orange juice and waffles were also available. We felt safe at this location. For the price and for a quick stay, it was fine.

Our room had been remodeled. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was extra special good. We were in a 300 room which sounds like it’s on the third floor. But it was only about 8 steps up from ground level (no elevator). The breakfast was a little limited, but they had waffles, cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt , etc. The seating area is also limited. The room was clean.

Super nice staff, spacious, clean rooms, pet friendly. Affordable. The breakfast is delicious and the cute little lady working the morning shift makes all the difference with great hospitality! The gentleman at the counter last night was so sweet. This is now the 2nd stay at Quality, and I prob won’t go anywhere else for hotels unless I have to. If every hotel was like these, humanity would be better. Swear. They are great!

I stayed here before it was the quality inn. And honestly the room was decent for the price. I came after hours and the lady at the kiosk was friendly and helpful. I had never used the kiosk before to check in. With only a few minor hiccups I was able to get everything done. For the price it's not bad.
