Retro Inn at Mesa Verde

We stayed in 1976 and 1975 on Feb 20th and 21st. The room was so roomy and quiet! They must be super insulated because we never heard our neighbors. We heard their water running but not the tv or them talking. It was -2° the 1st morning but our heater didn't run all night long and yet we were warm. The bed was comfy and lots of water pressure in the shower. It was very clean but could use some updating. Love the theme rooms! Wonderful staff. Highly recommend! Will stay again if the need arises. Thanks for the memories.

We stayed here for three nights while visiting the local area parks. The rooms and buildings are immaculate and very well cared for. You can tell that this motel is loved. Every detail and decor item was organized, spotless and maintained. The WiFi was the best we've had on our two week road trip. I especially loved the game room area and available laundry. I relaxed and watched TV in the guest house while doing laundry. The sofa was so comfy I didn't want to go back to my room after my laundry was done! Beautiful grounds and complimentary breakfast makes it 5 stars plus! Will definitely stay again if I'm the area. Kudos to the owners and staff!

My partner and I stayed in the Gatsby Suite in December 2025 and were very impressed. I had specifically booked this room after reading TripAdvisor reviews and they were spot on. It is like a little house not attached to the other motel rooms and the decor is amazing with a lovely sitting area, microwave and large bathroom and very quiet. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

We crashed in the Woodstock Suite and had a far-out time. Everything was clean and carried that groovy retro vibe just right. I haven’t slept on a waterbed in years, and it was a real blast from the past. Staff communication was solid—totally cool folks. A few notes for future travelers and the management cats: 1. The room didn’t have any regular chairs—just a couple of folding ones in the closet. The floor pillows were very hip and mellow, but not ideal if you dig a little more support or have mobility issues. 2. The property seems pretty wheelchair-friendly overall, but the pillows near the entrance make the first step inside a bit tricky for anyone rolling or walking with assistance. 3. Great place to stop on your road trip. The night gal was quirky but super cute. Taking a look at that vintage kitchen is really worth the whole trip. It's absolutely gorgeous!. And you can tell the staff also has an appreciation. It was nice to nerd out on that in the morning.
