Super 8 by Wyndham College Park Wash DC Area

I seriously wish there was a 0-star option. Booked this place because it was cheaper than others nearby turned out to be a big mistake. The internet was complete trash, didn’t even work on my phone. Went to the front desk and the lady just said her shift was over and basically didn’t care. The other guy then tells me to restart my phone and if it still doesn’t work, to call the internet company. Like… are you kidding me? I’m supposed to call your internet provider for your hotel? Absolute joke. This place is run by some of the most useless people I’ve ever dealt with. Never again.

It's an older hotel that had renovations done. Staff are nice people and they try to make your stay pleasant. The room's mattress was nice and firm and had plenty of optional pillows. There was noise from other night owls and partiers, but I was able to get a good night sleep wearing ear plugs and having the AC running which work very well. The room has a nice size TV, but it had an intermittent cable connection that maintenance repaired before I returned on the second day. I believe the room's small fridge is near end of life, because I had to place it on max cool to chill my water and beer to a nice refreshing drinking temperature. Positive: Breakfast Negative: The internet did not work at all in my room, and never topped 10MBPS in the lobby, and was usually less than 5MBPS. I also called the WiFi support number on the first day and nothing changed for my 5 night stay!!!

The lady in the front named Lidet is extremely rude. She doesn’t know how to talk to customers and has an attitude. This has happened more than once and it is unacceptable. She doesn’t need to talk to customers with a terrible attitude, or she can just work somewhere else. Multiple times, I have come to ask her questions and she asks as if I am burden to her. She doesn’t even want to make eye contact with you. I asked about the rewards program and she told me I have to go online, she doesn’t have to let me know about. Other customers have also complained about her attitude while checking in as well. Besides how rude she is, this place isn’t bad to stay. Also, the other guy’s customer service is WAY better than her. Forgot his name, but he is great!!

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The heater in my room was broken, and when I informed the front desk, they refused to change my room. Instead, they told me how to fix it myself. I followed their instructions exactly, but it still didn’t work. When the staff member came to check, she also failed to fix it. I asked again for a room change, and she started yelling at me and slammed the door before leaving. This behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. No guest should ever be treated this way. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
