Super 8 by Wyndham Clovis

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The room was clean, and updated. The Service was exceptional, and all questions were answered happily. They were very accommodating and met all our needs. Breakfast was pretty decent . Egg omelette was good. The only downside to this place is the location. And the laundry was out service but the neighbor property allows you to use theirs. Overall the better option of the all the near by motels.

We were blown away with the service and quality of this Super 8. We were a little weary when driving into town, but we were pleasantly surprised with How clean the room was and how updated everything was. After having a talk with the owner (After enjoying a delicious breakfast), it’s obvious how passionate he is about his business. He said they’re currently in the process of renovating everything within the property and he’s truly thought about everything down to the detail. I would highly recommend coming here with your family or even alone and feeling comfortable at this Super 8.

I often stop over in Clovis on annual drives between TX and CO, and since it's just for an overnight stay between 2 long days of driving, my only requirements are somwhere to sleep that is clean and quiet and safe and dog-friendly - and this Super 8 is actually all of the above. It looks a bit sketchy from the outside (but honestly, so does all of Clovis!) - but the rooms are non-smoking and clean and quiet and the A/C works well.

Positive: Wonderful breakfast with a large variety. Also, the manager (owner?) was extremely kind and friendly and genuinely seemed to care about the experience of his guests. Negative: As others mentioned, it’s an older building so less clean feeling than some hotels I’ve been in. That’s not to say the room was not clean, just had a little wear and tear (the door didn’t meet the frame well and a fairly large spider got in overnight)

I can’t compare to other Super 8s but the reviews are definitely a bit deceiving. It was doable for a night but is quite outdated and just a bit grubby. Not necessarily dirty, just not nice. Also we had a non-smoking room but it definitely smelled kind of smokey. Unfortunately the area also smells terrible (not the hotel’s fault) but luckily it doesn’t seem to get into the rooms. If you’re roadtripping through and really have to stop it is right off the highway.
