Colonial Heritage Inn

Cannot be beat...for the price. I am sure it was a decent place to stay 10+ years ago but it needs a lot of work for it to be a place that someone wants to stay at again. I am sure it was some type of assisted living home before it was converted into a motel...and the creepy feelings accompany it. No central air or heat. Mattress was disgusting. It was covered in stains and was literally falling apart from some chemical used to clean stains. Had to buy an extra cover to be able to have an extra barrier over the mattress. The mattress would begin to smell on hot days. Windows were not sealed properly, especially around the window AC unit. Dust was blowing in a lot. Wiring for the fire alarms was terrible. Alarm system kept beeping 24/7 and fire alarm would go off randomly at night and durin

Loved my stay at Colonial Heritage Inn. Linda, the owner was exceptionally nice. The room was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Linda was very accomodating. My room had no refridgerator or microwave but she immediately offered to get me one. I told her there was no need if I could use the one in the guest area. She had no problem with that. There is also free laundry service (2 washers/1 dryer). If you get tired of lying in your room there is a large guest area with couches, 72in TV and plenty of books to read. Couple of things you need to know. There is no maid service, but Linda will provide you towels and toiletries as you need. This is not a 5 star hotel, but if you are looking for a clean exceptionally quiet and very affordable place to stay. The

This place is a hot mess. Lynn is crazy and if you have kids she’s even weirder. The fire alarms go off randomly, happened 3 times during our stay. I called the non emergency number and Lynn once again got weird almost mad that I called. There was a Lizard living INSIDE the eating area my husband caught it and she just laughed and said that he comes and goes as he pleases. The rooms when we got there LOOKED clean but it definitely was not clean. The shower curtain was clearly dirty. I had brand new vacuum and I vacuumed the first time and it was filled with dirt and hair. The light fixtures had dust half way up. And every time it rained it the roof leaked like a fricken waterfall. Same for the windows. Just keep on looking. I promise that was a month of hell for us.

Linda was an amazing hostess! Very quiet, great place to stay.

Staying at Colonial Heritage during my visit to New Mexico on our family trip was simply amazing! Linda is soo nice and took great care of me and my family. The rooms were very nice and she even helped guide us to local attractions for us to check out! We absolutely loved the stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
