Super 8 by Wyndham Athens

Just needed a clean bed. This space was super cheap, so I expected the worst. Was surprisingly clean, new carpet and beds. Bathrooms were all new and spotless. All the other hotels were $100 more per night. This one was just as good. Saved $100.

Positive: Clean. Away from busy areas so it was a little more peaceful. Friendly staff. Negative: Breakfast was quite minimal: Pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, orange juice. A/C unit was too loud for me when I was trying to sleep but I also am pretty sensitive to noises.

Horrible value during a football game weekend! My room rate was $285/night, and for that the hotel did not even have an elevator. "Breakfast" consisted of coffee, orange juice and a banana, and the room closed down at 9 am. The room was very old, and sparsely furnished, but at least clean. The bathtub floor was very slippery. Towels were small and scratchy.|Management was, at least very friendly and cordial, and room service was good.

We stay at this location for swim meets at OU. Run by a wonderful family. Rooms are spacious and clean. Love that there are rooms with 3 queen beds.

Stayed here for about three days and unfortunately got very sick while on my visit, Nothing to do with the hotel. But due to this I got to spend most of my three day vacation in the hotel. Rooms were very clean, staff was nice enough. I am not certain of this but I suspect the individual in the room above me may have been a drug user. I noticed for several nights in a row he would spend all night, pacing back in forth in his room. I went to go get something from my truck and noticed with each pass he would glare out the window. This was all night.
