SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays

I was mislead on Airbnb, and wished I saw more realistic recent reviews. There is not just minor construction, it is half the building being redone. Sat in the hot tub with saws going off, work in the hallway started at 8 am every morning. The lobby doesn’t even look open when you pull up, please do yourself a favor and see my photos before booking of the current disheveled condition of this “resort”

We stayed in 507 it was a great view, clean room, and we meet some really nice people. But on our last day there housekeeping was at our door at 8:30am check out is at 10am we have 6 kids 4 of them rely on me to do everything for them so my husband is trying to take everything down to the car with our older kids while I'm trying to get kids ready and myself all while housekeeping is at the door waiting she doesn't move she is just waiting so I felt super rushed I normally strip the beds and make everything easier on the housekeeper but I didn't have time so I leave her a nice tip because there was 8 of us 2 adults and 6 kids. But since we were rushed out of there my daughter left her laptop on the countertop in the kitchen I know this because I told her to grab it but she didn't hear me. W

Our Air BnB host notified us on the day of check in that our reservation will have to be cancelled due to so called “construction”. Our host did not respond to our messages. We were able to contact Air BnB who assisted us. The management company is Avari. We caution you if you choose to book a reservation with Avari management company via Air BnB.

Booked 12/25/25 -12/28/25. Room 1804. Stayed one night and left without a refund. Majority of so-called resort is under construction. Could not drive to front entrance, elevator was scary to ride up to 18 floor. Had to walk under scaffolding. Many unlit areas. 1-star is being generous. Feces on balcony, living room furniture torn and very soiled. Metal chairs around kitchenette. Shower fixtures needed to be replaced and water would not drain in bathtub. Had to stand in water to shower. Storage closet was full of junk. I do not recommend this so-called resort to anyone. What a discussing experience which ruined our vacation. No mention of being under construction at time of booking a few days earlier.. They owe us a full credit.

We have been coming to SunDestin for a few years now. But this time it was completely different! We stayed in room 301 the room was clean when we first checked in looked great, that first night the beds were very comfortable!! Like sleeping on a rock! When I’m on vacation I hope to have comfortable beds and sleep great… unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Bathrooms were very outdated the shower water pressure wasn’t good and hardly any hot water…. Then when it comes to parking good luck…. They didn’t have enough parking space so you had to drive down the road and cross a very busy highway, they didn’t care if people parked in handicap spaces, who wasn’t handicapped. They let people park all up on the sides of the curbs and if there was a fire, the fire department wouldn’t be able to come i
